The Whalley Branch for Prospera Credit Union is an extensive renovation and addition of Prospera’s existing premises as the original structure no longer met the owner’s needs in either function or corporate presence. To meet the owner’s objectives the addition was added to the street side and the entire structure was renovated to provide a more contemporary presence. Modern materials such as aluminium, masonry
block, and glass were contrasted with the warmth of cedar and fir to provide a contemporary yet humanistic design. On the west side, an illuminated tower was added to further increase the street presence. |
