| The CEFA Daycare development represented a challenging design problem - that being to create a 44-student childcare facility (with necessary playground space), in a typical C2A-zoned urban location. Within the existing ground floor of the building, play spaces were designed to be open to the outside, yet covered by the massing of the building above. The street and lane frontages were given special attention, in order to offer an interesting pedestrian experience. The project was granted a development permit in late 2007, and construction is expected to commence in 2009. |
