Cameron Halkier graduated from the University of Alberta Fine Arts Industrial
Design Program in 1982 and has since shifted his interests to Architecture.
Graduating with honours from the University Of British Columbia Bachelor Of
Architecture Program in 1991, Cameron went on to work with a number of well
respected architectural firms in Vancouver, including Henriquez Partners, Dalla
Lana Griffin and Paul Merrick Architects. His project experience to date ranges
from the design and detailing of national monuments and gallery installations
through to institutional and multi-family residential developments. In addition
to experience gained on the boards, Cameron also understands construction
from his practical experience gained in the construction industry including the
construction of his own home.
Throughout the design process, Cam draws from his background in both
architecture and industrial design producing work that is not only well considered
architecturally but well detailed. Under Cam's direction, Halkier and Associates
Architects Inc. produces work that has a strong foundation in design, tempered
with a thorough understanding of concrete, steel and wood-frame construction.
It is Cam's philosophy that the uniqueness of each project is to be celebrated with
well considered creative solutions. |
